I’m Jan - a photographer and director of photography with many years of experience working worldwide for leading brands, agencies and organizations. I work across both still and motion, building integrated productions where photography and film move together and serve the same story.

I’m drawn to genuine character, lived experience, and the emotional weight behind a moment, that I strive to give shape through light, composition and rhythm.

I feel at home both on steep mountain faces and on large commercial sets. My passion for adventuring in nature and the experiences I have gathered have shaped how I frame challenges, make decisions, and stay present. That same clarity translates into production: grounded but very precise direction, calm problem-solving, and a focus on what actually matters.

Whether it’s a fast, agile crew or a full-scale team with multiple departments, I build workflows that support the creative rather than complicate it - making space for authenticity without losing intention.

The aim is always the same: create the conditions for something real to happen - and be there when it does.

I live south of Munich with my family, close to the mountains - the place that resets my perspective and informs how I see.
